How to store unused temporary tattoos
I'm often asked how long you can save a waterslide temporary tattoo. A quality temporary tattoo can normally be stored for several years as long as it is not exposed to excessive heat or humidity. I have some Japanese Paper Tattoos that are nearly 20 years old, and they still work fine. The key is to store the tattoos in plastic bags to prevent the adhesive from drying out or absorbing moisture. I package all our tattoos in resealable plastic bags for that purpose. Since many tattoo sheets contain more than one image, you can simply cut out the tattoo you want to apply and put the sheet back in the plastic bag for safe storage. If you buy temporary tattoos packaged for resale in stores, chances are you'll have to destroy the packaging to get the sheet out. In that case, you should put any unused tattoos in a plastic bag for storage.
